You can also hide bodies in the shadows, air ducts, or dumpsters, or you could place a body where someone will find it. These sound waves can let other people know where you are, or you can use them as a distraction to lead them away or make them an easier kill. Everything you do has a visible sound wave. This game has a pretty neat gimmick to it.

Be warned, these costumes aren’t just for show, each one has special abilities that can tailor the game even more to your play style. You don’t have to be the stealthiest person in the world, but it helps if you want upgrades. There are special missions you can do within the mission too that unlock special costumes. The reason the points are there are for buying upgrades and for bragging rights. This game does have a scoring system that rewards you with being stealthy and setting traps, but being seen or caught doesn’t mean you failed the mission, it just means you don’t score as many points. I chose a stealth/kill run, because I’m a bad ass ninja that likes to kill people and freak other people out by throwing dead bodies at them before I kill them and leave their bodies in the shadows. You could play the entire game without killing anyone if you please, or you could be a blood thirsty maniac and charge into every room knifes blazing. The ink was said to give you great powers, but it drove you insane at the same time. Well, actually, it’s a special ink, they’re just putting the ink on you in the forms of tattoos. But the ninjas have a secret weapon: that’s right, you. The ninjas are dying off due to other people advancing in technology. The story starts off by establishing that you are, in fact, a ninja. I decided to play with a gamepad because I thought that the controller was easier to use than a keyboard. I wasn’t a fan of Shank’s hack-and-slash gameplay and really hoped that Klei decided to reuse the art style. “This looks exactly like Shank, I hope it isn’t just a Shank remake”. Upon starting the game, a thought popped into my head. Mark of the Ninja is made by Klei, the creators of other successful games such as Shank and Don’t Starve. When it first came out, I didn’t think much of it, but since it recently resurfaced with the Humble Indie Bundle 9, I decided to give it a try. Here’s a game I’ve been putting off for a while.
